How do I make an alarm out of an air horn for my shed?
I have a shed with electric and I'd like to put an alarm out on it. I heard of someone making one out of an air horn before. Does anybody know how to do this?

it would be easier to use a regular car horn and a battery hooked up to the windows and doors, with contact switches you can buy at any electical supply or radio shack
Reply:For an air horn you need some type of compressor. Now they make an audible device that is EAR-PIERCING and is readily available from radio shack or any alarm company. I used an old house alarm unit and wired it in with window and door contacts all puchased at radio shack

Will you be able to say whether an animal is having horns or not by simply looking at its legs?
I would think if they have hooves, that would be a good indication they might.

Is it normal for a mounain horn dragon to be inactive when they are babies?
I just bought a baby mountain horn dragon (male) and i'm concerned about the fact he dosen't move around all that much. My friend's adult mountain horn is much more active. Is this something I should be worried about?

What should I do about damanged bark on a grapefruit tree?
My son opened my pet goat's pen, and he got out and scratched his horns on my small grapefruit tree. His horns grated the bark right off so that the soft, white inside stuff is showing. Is there something that I can do to limit the harm that this has done?

As 'peckr-' stated you can use products for grafting like Para-film or grafting wax to temporarily prevent drying, DO NOT use tree sealants of any kind !! These products slow healing and can trap harmful pathogens. If the tree is valuable you can have it "bridge grafted". If not just cut any frayed bark with a sharp knife to make gentle contours to the wound. RScott
Reply:As stated if the damage is all the way around the stems with no bark left running from top to bottom, then the tree has been effectively 'ring barked', and the tree will die.
Most likely the bark has been damaged in places. If this is the case no need to do anything, trees are very resilient and the bark will eventually heal over and be replaced.

Reply:If the outside bark has been removed all the way around,there is a good chance it damaged it beyond help. However,if the cambium layer is all ther,get it cover quickly with wet towels to keep it from drying out.then go to a nursery and get some grafting dope and paint it all round. The nursery can probably give you better instruction. Hope this helps.

am I turning into some kinda of alien monkey made out of rice?

OMG, I saw this little monkey with horns in my backyard last year and NO ONE believed me.
Aliens huh?..........phuckt.
So are JUST the horns rice because I lOVE rice, I would be happy to help ya out and eat your horns off for ya...???:) Not your head though....even if it was rice, that would just be creepy?
OH, and if you actually DO turn into an alien monkey made out of rice, could you email me a pic, cause I would love to have some proof that those little tree butters really do exist!

Can flower horn and Oscar fish be put together in one aquarium?

Even if both fish are small, I would not recommend this!
They will not stay small for long, and more importantly, even though Oscars can be aggressive, they would not stand a chance against a Flower Horn which is a Hybrid fish that gets many of its traits from the Red Devil. I have rarely seen a Red Devil not eventually kill an Oscar.

Reply:personally, i wouldn't. for the fishes sake. they're both highly aggressive and territorial fish, and unless it's enormous tank (actually enormous over 200 gallons enormous) they're going to be constantly feuding over territory.
Reply:The flower horn will kill the oscar by the time they're 6 or 7 inches big I bet.
They may appear to co-exist for a while, but one day you'll come home %26amp; one's face will be practically ripped off by the other.
That's not a good mix at all.
You will have a good chance of mixing the oscar with a non-cichlid like a catfish.
You'll have a bad chance of mixing the flower horn with pretty much anything for a long term situation.
