Name of reptile, 4 legs and horns on its body, Found in midwest, I always refered to it as horntoad?

Its actual name is a Horned Lizard. They aren%26#039;t toads at all, even though many people refer to them that way. I own a Desert Horned Lizard.

Reply:doesnt it shoot blood from its eyes? a little while ago i was at the zoo and saw it on display-they showcased it as the desert horned lizard........i always called it a horny toad though lol

Horned Lizards are found only in the western portions of the United States and Mexico. There are 14 recognized species. They do shoot blood from their eyes when threatened.
