What are your thoughts on goal horns; what would your team's sound like, ideally?

PuckDat will love this video. :P

I find them to be obnoxious. I know it%26#039;s only fair to share my thorough opinion if I%26#039;m to ask for yours, but I really don%26#039;t have a clue what I%26#039;d like the Penguins goal horn to sound like. I don%26#039;t know what sound a penguin makes, if any, but I don%26#039;t think it%26#039;d be good to use. Well, that and I can%26#039;t hear much over myself when the Pens score. I don%26#039;t totally flip out, but I scream pretty loud. WOOOOOO!

What are your thoughts on goal horns; what would your team%26#039;s sound like, ideally?
I%26#039;ve seen that video before, its very well done.

The Lightning have IMO the loudest of them all. ANHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

ANNNNNNNHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The one I find most annoying is the Habs goal horn, it%26#039;s about 5 octaves too high for me.

The ducks one has really grown on me.

HAHAHA ERICA way to did that one up! Yup, thats my video!
Reply:I LUV THE GOAL HORNS. THERE AWESOME. EVEN IN BLOWOUT GAMES WHERE U HEAR THEM REPEATEDLY. I remember once when the sharks beat the wings like 9-3 :( but i liked the sharks goal horn a lot lol. so it made it a very lil better.

My fav goal horns

1) Detroit Red Wings

2) Anaheim Ducks

3) San Jose Sharks
Reply:I like the one at the college here, it%26#039;s an actual fog horn off of a ship, quite loud if your sitting by it, well very loud actually.

I hate the train whistle horn type thingys that most arenas use, there just damn annoying.

I kind of liked Anaheim%26#039;s, I heard it a few more times than i wanted too during the WCF%26#039;s though. Those friggin Ducks!

I also like what happened here, lol.

Reply:hallelujah, hallelujah

Sung by a heavenly choir each and every time one of the leafs manage to nudge the puck over the goal line. The choirs%26#039; throats would certainly not be raw at years end but after all, aren%26#039;t the leafs %26quot;gods%26quot; team?
Reply:I like Carolina%26#039;s. Deep, but not too deep the foghorn seems off somehow.

Yeah, ours is perfect -no need to mess with it.
Reply:I really like the Ducks horn too... I also like the goal song by Pennywise and also how Pennywise likes the team so much... it%26#039;s like everyone loves Pennywise and goes wild when Pennywise takes the stage (at the fan celebration after the Ducks won the Stanley Cup) but then when Ryan Getzlaf, Francois Beauchemin or anyone of the Ducks goes up to one of them (mainly Jim Lindberg, he%26#039;s got the personalized jersey that says Pennywise), he goes crazy... like OMG, I%26#039;m talking to a hockey player.
Reply:Nashville needs a change...

love the team..tired of Tim McGraw %26quot; I like it, I love it%26quot;

oh well, at least it%26#039;s not Rocky Top
Reply:Have to watch it later. The Network Nazis are blocking me here.

I hate the horns. Nearly blew my eardrums out in Sabresland at one game. I was thinking of suing them because they never warned me it could happen and properly prepare for it. The decibel level on those things are very high. (I know shut up you old fart).
Reply:I like deep goal horns.

For some reason, the foghorns really appeal to me. I can%26#039;t stand horns like Detroit, and Edmonton, anything like that.

I also like the NY Rangers horn.
Reply:Ours {Ducks} sounds like WHOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNKKK

i LIKE IT. iT%26#039;S LOUD!

Yeah like somebody stepped on the goose!

%26gt;w a n k omg that%26#039;s naughty!

c-ya l8r gotta eat!
Reply:I personally like my teams horn Buffalo%26#039;s is the best
Reply:A goal and the hometown fans excited reaction should be enough. When I was a kid I remember how thunderous it sounded at the old Boston Garden. I always thought the horn like they had at Buffalo%26#039;s Aud was kinda dumb, like playing the same section of the same three songs whenever the whistle blows at a football game. I don%26#039;t mind a dj but I think these mass produced media attrocities have lost sight of why the people are really there and I think it kind of ruins actually going to the games to be honest. By the end of a Patriots game I went to a couple of years ago I was totally sick of hearing snippets of Welcome to the Jungle and Hells Bells. Now I hear the league has authorized only certain songs to be played during games, making the whole mess seem even more narrow. Bring back the Electric organ player at least he played songs at appropriate times and didn%26#039;t alienate everyone over the age of forty five. What the Bruins do after a goal now I am not sure. It has been a long time since I have seen the Bruins play at the TD Bank North Dunkin Donuts Subway Stadium or whatever they call it now. I guess the goal horn should be the chorus of Handel%26#039;s Messiah %26quot;Alleluia Alleluia Alleluia Alleluia Alay ay luia!%26quot;
Reply:Edmonton and Phoenix are my favorites.
Reply:I really wish the Leafs would go back to their original. It sounded like this.

Wasn%26#039;t that cool.

You can put me in the dislike category, I %26#039;spose.
Reply:The Rangers have the best. They%26#039;re the only team who%26#039;s turned their goal horn into a rock song. It%26#039;s great to hear everytime they score.
Reply:Hey cme..That%26#039;s the sound the Hawks horn sounded like last year too...The only time you%26#039;d hear it was when the game was over...To wake the fans and let them know it was time to go home!!!! ..zzzzzzzzzzzzzz...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......
Reply:Can%26#039;t change detroits, I love it. So..idk classic? :D
Reply:OMG I love that video, that went down in my favorites. Goal horns to me is one of the best parts of being a fan of the game. I love the sound when my team scores. My favorite is Buffalo%26#039;s and the high pitched ones (Ottawa, Calgary). Heres a funny video i think youll like:

Reply:In todays corporate world the Ducks will soon be this....

AAAAAAFFFFFFFLLLLLLLAAAAAACCC!
Reply:I kinda like Buffalo%26#039;s goal horn. But ideally it would sound like a very very low base noise. Like Tampa Bay%26#039;s, only a full octave lower. It would literally shakes the floor. Can you imagine how much that would piss off the opposing team? It would prolly annoy the home team too, but at least they would get used to it.

I like Edmonton%26#039;s goal horn. It%26#039;s cool if you are scoring, but utterly shrill to the opposing goalie. That is a goal horn that gives you a competitive edge.

But my favorite is Ottawa%26#039;s. It%26#039;s cool, kinda original, but it%26#039;s not so loud that it drowns out the crowd.

Joe B: In the unlikely event that God has a favorite team, it%26#039;s pretty clear that He is not a Leafs fan. :)
