When you take the bull by the horns... Is that from the front, back, or side of the bull?

I never thought about that! Good question. Any way you take hold of a bull you%26#039;re in for quite a shaking and roughing up. I guess it means you%26#039;re going to at least grab onto the situation and not just cower before it and let it stomp you to death. I like the other Answerer%26#039;s idea that you are facing it head on.

the front hence the expersion you face your problem head on
Reply:to take a bull by the horns, it means that you just go all for it. i would say the front, because its more daring and like you have more confidence that you can do it
Reply:The front, that is where the bull%26#039;s horns are. Bulls are very fierce and stubborn animals, thus the expression refers to fighting back and taking control by taking it by the horns and pushing the animal back.
Reply:that%26#039;s the POLITE version of that expression. my dad always said %26quot;...got the bull by the BALLS!!!%26quot;. i think i just answered that question!! anyway, it means that you have the situation under control, for now.
Reply:From the front of the bull.

And only on one of my bad days.
Reply:Tsk. City Folk! Ya aint got no learn%26#039;n!
Reply:I am kind of sneaky. I%26#039;d go from behind--especially since I wear a lot of red.
Reply:on top
Reply:head on man, always head on hahaha
Reply:I am bullish on this question.
