Does it hurt when a bull damages its horns?

I imagine it does that is something attached to you and probably has something running through it.

Does it hurt when a bull damages its horns?
No,they dont have any nerves in there horns, therefor, you could just chopp um off and they wouldnt feel a thing
Reply:The outer layer on a bulls horns is like fingernails, only about 1/2 inch thick. Under that the horn is bone. The%26quot;quick%26quot; is between the horn and bone, if this gets injured it bleeds and it hurts. When horns are removed they have to cut through the bone and it bleeds like hell and yes it hurts..
Reply:yes
Reply:I imagine it doesn%26#039;t hurt more than clipping your fingernails.
Reply:Not usually. The bull%26#039;s horns are like our fingernails. Unless you cut below the quick, it does not hurt to trim them. The same is true for any horned (not to be confused with antlers) animal. Unless it breaks at or below the skin, there is no pain involved.
Reply:Exacly like You break Your fingernail - the finger is in pain. The same way, damaged horns induce pain in bull%26#039;s head, due to distortion of the bones and tissues, but horn itself does not hurt (it has no nerves inside, because it is made of the same material like Your nails).
Reply:May be.
Reply:only if he damages it my me... ouch
Reply:i think not because on the horns they sometimes get splintered off. unless the pain sprains to their head and go wild.
