Why do people insist on using their horns so much?

So I was driving home from work today and was at a red light. When the other light turned red, someone a few cars back layed on their horn, our light had not even turned green yet and this jerk was laying on the horn. Are they in that much of a hurry they expect the rest of us to run red lights?

Why do people insist on using their horns so much?
these people are usually the %26#039;all mouth, no action%26#039; types and if you confronted them face to face they%26#039;d stutter in defence and run a mile lol..when they r behind the wheel they feel protected, strong and secure..
Reply:Maybe he was HORNY...haha!
Reply:I call these people happy horn honkers. They are the most annoying creatures. I was in the target parking lot and this guy was going way to fast and I happen to pull out in front of him. He laid on his horn 3 or 4 times. I went really slow and laid on mine back. If people would just slow down and take it easy, horn pollution wouldnt be as bad.
Reply:I think some people use their horns to let go of some agression. It seems rude, and it usually is, but hey, if it makes them feel better than driving dangerous, maybe its not a bad thing. I don%26#039;t condone it, I would rather have people wait to use it when its really needed. I have seen horns prevent accidents. This is just peoples way of %26quot;yelling%26quot; at each other when they cannot actually yell. Never ever feel intimidated by another jerky driver. It could cost you an accident, and that is never worth it, or a ticket! No way, not worth it. Ignore them.
Reply:I agree. Horns are to warn people when there is a danger. Some people use their horns way too much. I think it%26#039;s rude.
Reply:The horn has become the tool or rage for many drivers. Society is not as patient as back in the 1950%26#039;s. I am just glad nobody has invented a horn with the abilty to vaporize anyone who gets honked at with it.
Reply:Many years ago a woman had a problem with the horn on her VW. My friend, who owned an automotive electrical shop attempted to help her with this issue. She left the car for a day but the techs could find nothing wrong. Upon her return my friend asked her to show her when this seemed to occur. She reached down to start the car and sure enough, the horn sounded. It also sounded when she adjusted the mirror, and really anytime she reached for anything. My friend told her that as she reached, her boob contacted the horn and made it sound. Please check that the horns you hear are not your own as I find it difficult to believe that others would be so rude.

I hope this helps.
Reply:Think they call that road rage. They get spoiled, they want what they want when they want it, cause they get used to having things that way, for one reason.

Modern technology doesn%26#039;t help one wit!

Attention deficit, caused by an over-stressed world. People don%26#039;t wantta be driving down the street at all, there%26#039;s a part of them that still wants to be out in the woods once an awhile, howling at the moon.
Reply:Maybe something else happened that you did not see. I use my horn when the light is green and someone isn%26#039;t paying attention. It%26#039;s just the quick honk, kinda like a courtesy honk. Or if someone almost hits me it%26#039;s a long long honk!!!! But if they were doing it as you described that%26#039;s just ignorant!!!!

ROAD RAGE!!!!!
